Have a highly trained team of makeup artists, hairstylists, awesome photographers with an amazing lighting team ..oh and the most important thing of all.... a photoshop master.
Yeah, yeah you say...doesn't lesson the pain of the aging process. No it doesn't but I can tell you that in REAL life a little reminder of this goes a long way.
I remember one of my first "real" jobs as a makeup artist the ease I thought that I would have with making up the models. For after all they have flawless skin, no wrinkles, no age spots, no flaws.. right? Ha, not hardly. They all had some skin issues that I had to deal with and some even had an excess of plastic surgery that I never had the pleasure (sarcasm) of working with. Too much botox can be a bad thing. Just sayin'
I have always said that your most important beauty tool any woman can have is her smile. This is truth people.. TRUTH.
Foundation can take care of most things, concealer can be a girls best friend, the right mascara and lip gloss can be a God send. But if you don't realize how beautiful YOU are ... then forget it. Real women can never live up to the nonsense of marketing and Hollywood. Those are real women too, they just have the added benefit of knowing the secret (their team).
Think that I am crazy or blowing positivity smoke up your behinds ;) I promise you I am not... see the evidence below...
Jessica Alba
Beyonce
Britney Spears
Pamela Anderson
Angelina Jolie
Christina Aguilera
I show these to you .. not to hate, because I still think that these women are beautiful even without all the added help. But lets just face it there is an added benefit to their team. So lets all take a moment to embrace our realness and appreciate the fact that these women are just as real.... when they wake up with no makeup and no special lighting they are JUST LIKE US.
THINGS TO LEAVE WITH YOU..
-My mother in law laughs at me when I talk about my wrinkles... I think that though she loves me she would love to slap me upside the head when I mention them.
-My hair and skin have never recovered from having my two girls or turning 30. Both of which I would never trade for wrinkle free skin or thick hair...okay maybe staying at 29 would have been okay with me :)
-A models career ends at 23. By that time they have lost about 50% off their hair.
-The best advice for healthy skin, hair etc. is really just taking care of yourself with diet, exercise and the most basic of beauty products.
-Oh yeah and don't forget that smile
Much love,
Trish
